SR.Production Support Engineer

Responsible for planning, processing and performing all jobs in an efficient manner with no assistance from the supervisor

Responsible for all Application FMS tickets assigned and taking them to closure within the defined SLA levels

Analyze tickets to identify the root cause of the problem and provide resolution in timely manner.

Coordinate and work with Application engineering team to report all application bugs and follow up for closure

Setup and manage test servers and environments for pre-production tests

Perform and participate in all aspects of Production patch/fix and deployment verification including requirements gathering, feature and functional testing, integration testing, regression testing.

Work collaboratively with management, development and SQE engineers in producing quality products utilizing best practice methodology and technology.

Reports test results and enter problems and issues into the bug database. Monitors and updates bug reports as needed including bug report closure

Proactively solve problems and suggest process improvements

Demonstrate a clear passion for Quality through constant self-directed learning

Contribute to the improvement and refinement of Production Support practice

Skills

BS in computer science or equivalent experience

4 – 6 years of hands on experience in production/technical support of applications.

Excellent analytical, debugging and problem solving skills

Excellent written and oral communication skills to concisely and accurately report project status

Excellent technical leadership skills to mentor new team members and hand holding them.

Experience working on Linux and Windows O/S

Good understanding on RDBMS. Should have experience working on PostgreSQL / My SQL or any RDBMS. Ability to write DDL and DML statements.

Good Understanding of Apache and Tomcat Configurations

Experience troubleshooting application issues developed on Java/J2EE, PHP

Good understanding on network protocols

Good understanding on XML, HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, FTPS

Additional Information

Candidate with immediate or max 15 days notice period is preferred.

Contract duration will be for Minimum 6 months & extendable
