Job Title / Designation:Senior DevOps Engineer

Job Description:

Responsible for the tools that automate infrastructure deployment, manage application configuration and monitor services.

Responsibilities include:

· Developing and documenting automation tools and processes

· Creating and managing Development and QA AWS infrastructure

· Building monitoring scripts to monitor infrastructure, processes, platform and applications, troubleshooting deployments, documenting issues and solutions

· Managing tasks and issues within an agile environment

Key Functions & Roles of the Candidate:

• At least 2 years of DevOps experience (essential) and System Administration experience
• Understand or have used AWS services with a passion to utilize it in scale
• Deployment automation expertise using Ansible, Docker and Kubernetes
• Monitoring solutions (e.g. Monit, Nagios)
• Ability to work with AWS EC2 and VPC services
• Knowledge of Linux OS (Ubuntu Server preferred)
• Solid understanding of networkingand VPN tunnels
• Basic scripting capabilities (e.g. Python, bash)
• Ability to deploy, monitor and maintain Cloudera (CDH) clusters
• Familiar with networking infrastructure and never hesitant to learn more
• Experience working with cross-site (India-US) Agile product engineering teams
• Proven ability and desire to deliver projects on time with high quality
• Excellent communication and technical writing skills
• Able to cope with and thrive in fast paced, dynamic work environment with evolving project requirements
• Ability to understand complex programs / environments in short period of time, multi-task and quickly adapt to new requirements
• Ability to be on-call when required
• Self-driven, motivated and confident with personable approach. Ability to stand ground in discussions and raise questions
• Willingness to travel internationally for a few weeks or months if needed
• A passion to learn to learn, improve & implement services within the cloud, deliver new products/features to the market and have a big impact

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience in one or more programming languages such as Python, Ruby, Node.js, Java
• Knowledge of networking and monitoring services
• Familiarity with deploying services such as Hadoop, RabbitMQ, Redis, MySQL
• Familiarity with applications deployed in Java, Ruby/Rails, or Python
• Experience with Git
• Knowledge of web frameworks
• Knowledge of a provisioning or automation framework (Ansible, Chef).

Minimum Education Requirements: B.Tech/BE/BS in Computer Science or equivalent degree (Electrical/Electronics/etc. Eng). Masters degree is preferred.

Work Timings / Working Days:8am-5pm, flexible wrt timings and WFH on need, some late evening calls – also need to be on-call at non-regular hours in case of urgent production/client issues.

Travel & Allowance: On business need a week to few months’ travel to other AutoGrid offices and client locations. All travel-related costs and incidentals covered as per policy
