Functional Area
Global Sourcing & Supply (GSS), a subsidiary of BMMI, is looking to recruit a skilful and capable Relief Operations Manager to provide leave cover for a variety of key positions at our USAID and Embassy project in Juba, South Sudan . You will rotate between Executive Chef, as well positions in accommodation, housekeeping and overall contract management positions, working with teams.
You will work with a high degree of independence, delivering excellence in service standards, ensuring contractual compliance as per client requirements and achieving financial targets.
This is a single status rotation based position (12 weeks on/3 off) in a difficult environment, and you will live in the Embassy compound whilst covering for colleagues.

Desired Experience:
• A minimum of eight years of professional catering experience as an Executive Chef at a 4/5 star hotel or equivalent relevant experience, as well as overseas involvement in remote sites and difficult environments, where little or no modern support infrastructure is available
• Five years of supervisory experience, or equivalent
• Experience in hospitality and facilities management in a contract environment, preferably in Africa
• Diploma or college degree, preferably in catering or a related field
• Professional qualifications in food safety and hygiene, hotel management etc.
• Health and safety qualifications
• Food production and service
• Ability to train junior staff in catering/housekeeping etc.
• Fluency in spoken and written English and Arabic, other languages an advantage
