Product Manager

The Product Manager role is a crucial pivotal role in driving B2B business for a designated destination like
Thailand, Dubai, Mauritius, Maldives, Singapore, Malaysia & Hong Kong.
The Product Manager will handle these functions as a profit centre along with leading and handling various
functions.
- Managing hotel contracts online – rates, allotments, close out etc.
- Campaign management & lead generation for designated destinations
- Online system usage & behaviour analysis
- Developing OTA & Online B2B partnerships via API & XMLs
- Shaping up & scaling the B2B online business for Travstore
- Identifying and contracting wholesale pricing from DMC’s , Hotels, & suppliers
- Creation of compelling pricing & services standards to result in market leading wholesale B2B
distribution for the assigned destination.
- Facilitating communication & information to Travstore staffs and Travel agent
Key Responsibilities
- Identify DMC’s, Suppliers & Service providers in a given destination
- Negotiate contracts, pricing & terms of Business
- Conduct due diligence on all vendor options to ensure appropriate business functioning
- Craft itineraries for the given destination
- Survey and analyse available itineraries for commercial comparisons
- Train the operations/sales/ business development team on products
- Respond to all urgent incidents reported by field staff, partners or operation officers
- Analyse/Update tour costing and ensure trips are running to budget and profitability
- Developing & managing potential online B2B channel for both offline agents & OTAs and promoting
sales through the online system
- Responsible for analysing competitors online portal, campaigns and promotions
- Will be responsible for designing competitive campaigns and promotions
- Creating logins for agents, educating users about online system & providing system demos
- Analysing data to determine hotel contract pricing & selling strategies
- Managing supply chain of Online Portal Room Inventory
- Responsible for daily status report of team in terms of contract feeding and other responsibilities
- Guide product team to deliver products with the minimum technical solution that meets the business
goals
- Provide regular status reporting and analysis including on key metrics, and goals.
- Other duties as assigned
Technical Skills
- Excellent understanding of Thailand, Dubai, Mauritius, Maldives, Singapore & Malaysia as tourist
destinations & preferably having visited the given destinations
- Strong hold and network of suppliers in Thailand, Dubai, Mauritius, Maldives, Singapore & Malaysia.
- Excellent data Analysis skills
- Understanding of and experience with B2B travel business for holidays
- Experience in / understanding of travel agent channel business
- Excellent MS Office Skills, in particular MS Excel & MS PowerPoint
- Preferably a bachelor's degree in engineering with an MBA
