Job Description
The ROR Developer is responsible building robust, maintainable, high performance codes. Based in Mumbai, reporting will be to the VP - Engineering.
Job Responsibility:
Ruby, ORM frameworks, Message queues.
Frameworks- In depth understanding of ruby on rails 4.
Platform- Amazon AWS development and deployment, Centos, red hat linux.
Hands on Ruby on Rails development, Test driven programming (Experienced with cucumber & r-spec or something similar).
Should have experience working with Web services based on REST.
Must understand security aspects of Web Development.
Hands on experience in Object oriented programming and Design.
Hands on experience with Mysql DB design, indexing concepts and query optimizations.
Ability to estimate development and testing efforts and guide the technical team
Essential Skills Required:
Self motivated.
Be able to quickly understand the existing well structured code and develop on top of it.
Experience in RSpec, cucumber or similar testing tools.
Solid understanding of object-oriented programming.
Be able to write Javascript, HTML, CSS.
It will be a plus to handle or learn the end to end technology stack including the dev-ops part.
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
A serious passion for coding, with the ability to intuitively pick up and use any new language / protocol / framework.
