The Maritime Academy of Nigeria, Oron (MAN, Oron) is the premier Maritime training institution statutorily established in Nigeria. The Academy has the main function among others - to admit and train the various levels of personnel required for running and operating ships of the merchant ;

Job Title: Registrar

Location: Akwa Ibom

Duties

• The Registrar shall be responsible to the Rector for the day-to-day administration of the Academy and shall be the Secretary of the Council, the Academic Board and other statutory committees.

Qualifications & Experience

• Candidates for the position of Registrar should possess a good honors degree from a recognised university, plus, at least, 17 years cognate experience; Or a holder of a Master's Degree from a recognized University, plus at least 15 years cognate experience, Or a holder of Doctorate degree plus at least 12 years cognate experience.
• In addition candidate should have attained the position not lower than Deputy Registrar for at least four (4) years in a recognised tertiary institution.
• Membership of recognized professional bodies will be an added advantage.

The Candidates:

• The Registrar shall be a person of high integrity and or strong moral character with excellent interpersonal relations.
• The person must be able to instil confidence in others and command the loyalty and respect of people.
• He/she must be in good health and must not be more than 45 years on assumption of duty.

Conditions of Service
The conditions of service of the Registrar shall include the following:

• Consolidated salary.
• Other fringe benefits as obtained in the Conditions of Service of the Academy.
• Tenure of appointment shall be four (4) years from the date of appointment which may be renewed for another four (4) year term only.
