 should have sound knowledge of Chemistry &

Chemical

Engineering

 basics, and handling and managing lab equipment. Key activities will include running different

chemical

process

 optimization tests for a fluid-circuit based electromechanical product used in a biomedical application. Responsibilities will also include identification and evaluation of potential vendors for procurement of

chemical

 supplies and disposal and/or value retrieval from the spent

chemical

 waste. Additional tasks include supporting the operations / supply chain group to identify vendors and establish a supply chain that meets the quality, quantity, and cost requirements to support the business.

Position Responsibilities:

Running experiments, collating and presenting experiment results

Analytical evaluation and lab testing of

chemicals

 under consideration

Identification and evaluation of potential vendor for value retrieval from spent

chemical

 waste

Collaboration and partnership with third party labs for conducting tests, and collating and presenting test data

Preparing high quality documentation to meet regulatory and quality standards applicable to medical industry

Desired/Preferred Qualifications:

Masters degree in

Chemical

Engineering

 with 3+ years of experience at a multinational corporation

Experience working in a pharma / healthcare industry / development of medical products

Knowledge of handling ion exchange and RO

chemicals

 and materials.

Experience with different inorganic test methods involving IP, BP/USP grade

chemicals

Experience with filtration methods including: cross-flow or tangential filtration, ultrafiltration, nanofiltration, dead-end filtration

Experience with packed-bed purification systems based on absorption and ion-exchange consisting of: activated carbon, zeolites, ion-exchange resins, sand, molecular sieves, alumina, etc.

Basic understanding of functioning of sensors to measure fluid-related parameters, such as pH, conductivity, temperature, flow, and pressure
