As a Machine Learning Scientist, you will be responsible to design and deploy scalable algorithms and models that will impact the content visible to millions of customer and solve key customer experience issues. You will develop novel statistical models or deep learning techniques for text processing, image processing, pattern recognition, and anomaly detection problems. You will define the research and experiments strategy with an iterative execution approach to create the machine learning models and progressively improve the results over time. You will work closely with engineers, other data scientists and product managers to come up with novel solutions for some hard business critical problems.
Basic Qualifications
5+ years of relevant applied science or broad machine learning research experience
Proven ability to relate to and solve business problems through machine learning, data mining and statistical algorithms
Solid understanding of machine learning, algorithms and computational complexity
Expert in one or proficient in more than one, major programming languages (Python, Java, C++, C, Perl/Ruby, etc.)
Technical fluency; comfort understanding and discussing architectural concepts and algorithms, schedule tradeoffs and new opportunities with technical team members.
Strong problem solving skills
Excellent communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
PhD in machine learning or natural language processing(highly desired)
Deep experience in building text or image processing solutions, or other solutions using natural language processing techniques
Project management experience desired for working on cross-functional projects
Exposure to scripting languages, relational databases and Linux
Experience in working on highly scalable and available systems
