RESPONSIBILITIES
The Data Center Operator responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Monitor the facility environment (power, cooling, cameras, others) through BMS, and report abnormalities to NOC and Facility teams
• Co-ordinate the access of the customers under the NOC’s supervision
• Perform cabling and co-ordinate the racks installations with the respective Data Center Facility and Operation teams
• Remote eyes and hands support for customers in co-ordination with NOC
• Vendor co-ordination and availability management of Data Center facilities
• Possible frequent activities of standing, pushing, pulling, bending, reaching and lifting of equipment
• Assist the NOC team in other activities such as alarm handling, ticket management, call and email handling, reports generation, customer escorting, etc.
• Work in a 24x7 Shift Schedule
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
• Diploma holder in Electrical or Computers with 3 to 5 years of experience (Technical Degree)
• OR University degree holder with 0-1 year experience or equivalent.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Good working knowledge of UPS, Cooling, Access control & BMS systems
• Knowledge in LAN networking using copper and fiber using standards such as Systimax/Panduit
• Knowledge in Windows OS and good troubleshooting skills
• Should have good grasping of processes and procedures transitioned by NOC for maintaining availability of the respective Data Center facilities
• Good documentation skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills (English is a must and Arabic is a plus)
