Job Description
1. Job Purpose
Concrete repair engineer plan and implement construction projects that requires concrete structure repairs.
2. Principal Accountabilities
Manage the different concrete repair projects in a professional way to fulfill the project goals.
Manage the different construction teams required to execute the concrete repair projects.
Estimate the required resources in terms of materials, equipment, manpower etc. to achieve the projects targets and goals.
Participate in the phases of costing, bidding, and planning required for concrete repair projects.
Oversee the execution of projects, which involves constant interaction with construction workers, clients
Concerned with the safety in charge and must make informed decisions regarding the reliability and risks of certain types of concrete and may also be responsible for determining a project's budget.
Good practice in new construction methodologies.
Good practice in condition surveys of existing structures.
Maintenance and repair planning.
Qualifications
3. Communications and Working Relationships
Interacts with all levels of the organization on project related issues (operational and other)
Interacts and manager direct reports and site issues on a continuous basis.
Interacts with project manager to solve the planning related issues.
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering Discipline with a minimum of 5 to 8 year experience.
Should be experts in the properties of concrete, the principles of design in construction.
