Cloud Operations Engineer

Responsibilities

• You will be working with a team of operations engineers to monitor, maintain and nurture our SaaS environment. As a technical expert, you will be working closely with various teams to ensure the stability of the environment by:

• Providing 24x7/365 monitoring team capabilities within a Cloud Environment

• Monitor alerts and dashboards for real-time detection and analysis to provide the best visibility into the state of the SaaS environment

• Solving complex problems in production systems

• Developing response documentation to provide guidance in the event of an incident

• Identifying new technologies and processes to improve our ability to detect and respond to system problems

• Assisting with resolving outages and performing root cause analysis & ability to provide detailed case notes according to internal procedures

• Identifying and working with application teams to implement more efficient system procedures

• Deploying applications / Testing in Staging & Production Cloud Environments

• Monitoring performance, identifying any negative changes to performance and working with the teams to resolve them

• Taking initiative to advance the quality, performance, and scalability of our SaaS applications

• Driven and responsible, requiring a minimal amount of supervision

Mandatory skills:

• Experience working inWindowsproduction environment, preferably in systems engineering who is interested in moving into monitoring

• Firm understanding of networking concepts and technologies

Not Mandatory but good to have:

• Expertise with monitoring tools

• Expertise in at least one scripting PowerShell, Regexp, vbscript is a plus

• Amazon EC2 experience

• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills

• Passion for taking care of the customer and resolving the customer problems
