Cardiothoracic Anaesthesia Chief Resident

Job Specifications:

Must have minimum of 5 years experience as Senior Resident in Cardiothoracic Anaesthesia

Must have good knowledge in international practice and developments in relation to Cardiothoracic Anaesthesia practice.

Candidate must hold M.B.Bch. and Post Graduate qualification in Cardiothoracic Anesthesia

Job Description:

Contributing in delivery of integrated clinical cardiothoracic anaesthesia services.

Participating in the development and delivery of the undergraduate educational programmes.

Diagnosing and treating patients under the direction of the Consultant Staff.

Ensuring the highest standards of patient wellbeing and safety.

Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests and Initiating and monitoring treatment.

Pro-actively participating in the clinical students’ teaching programme.

Teaching medical students and cardiac residents as required.

Support and participating in clinical research programmes.

Adhere to all defined standards, processes, policies and procedures and cooperate fully with every initiative to secure accreditation

Previous experience of teaching,researching and assessing students in an academic environment is desirable
