Assistant Project Manager-PHP

Job description, skills and specifications:

1. Develop new sites using Wordpress, Magento, Joomla, Drupal etc
2. Liaise and interface with clients & stakeholders
3. Document technical and functional specifications
4. Provide technical consultancy services to stakeholders & clients
5. Liaise with IT and Systems departments to put best practice, UAT and platform appraisal processes into place.
6. Ensure that we meet commercial 'go-live' deadlines
7. Mentor to junior developers
8. Enterprise level experience of OOP with PHP, MySQL, and SVN, on Unix-like platforms.
9. Standards compliant HTML, HTML 5, CSS, JavaScript (jQuery) and XML.
10. Experience in building themes, plugins etc. for various Open source technologies
11. Confident building user interfaces from PSD files and wireframes for functional specification.
12. You will be expected to generate technical solutions to creative challenges on a daily basis.
13. Other ad-hoc duties as required

Experience:

1. 4+ years’ working experience with OOP with PHP, MYSQL JavaScript, HTML and CSS.
2. Proactive and willing to take the initiative to meet deadlines in a very fast paced, commercially driven working environment with constantly shifting priorities.
3. Good verbal and written communication skills will be preferred
4. Ability to liaise and interface with clients directly, write technical specifications, advise senior management on technical issues on a regular basis.
5. Ability to work in fast paced and evolving environment.

Education

1. Degrees/Diploma in computer science, IT, web design and software programming.
2. More specific diploma, degree or certificate in web/UI development.
