PHP Web Developer
Job Description
• Preparing Technical Design Documents for Websites and Web Application Projects.
• Managing the entire development and iteration life cycle for websites and web application projects including:
• planning and requirements analysis (site maps, server folder structures, third party media requirements), development (wireframing, mockups, slicing, programming and using web application frameworks, custom code templates, content filling, link and functionality verification, feature testing),
• Programming web applications in PHP, including the use of their web application frameworks.
• Debugging web applications including using common browsers like Firefox, Chrome, Safari and IE and debuggers included in common web application frameworks.
• Organizing server structures and transferring iterations to live VPS/Cloud servers (web, application and database) and CDNs from time to time.
• Maintaining and updating version control systems for multiple web application projects.
Desired Candidate Profile:
• Should be capable of handling the entire software development life cycle for websites and web application projects independently.
• Should have good functional knowledge of CDNs. Linux VPS/Cloud servers, Apache (prior experience preferred).
• Should have extensive experience with common web application frameworks for PHP, Python, Ruby and Java (including common JS libraries like jQuery)
• Should have complete command over XHTML, CSS, Javascript and AJAX.
• Should be comfortable and show high adaptability to multiple software development processes including waterfall, iterative and agile as the web application projects require.
• Good communication skills with good command over written and spoken English and spoken Hindi, for communication in India and Internationally.
• Should have worked in a web application/ web services development company or alternatively in the web services/ web application/ e commerce development function of a medium to large enterprise in sectors like online media, software, online retail or online entertainment.
