KEY RESULT AREAS

• Developing and implementing a stage-by-stage quality assurance and control system to ensure adherence to technical specifications/codes & standards/ contract
• Preparing & reviewing project specific Inspection and Test Plan (ITP), reviewing procedures and maintaining QC documentation to ensure adequate documented evidence is available to prove contract compliance
• Ensuring that all tests are carried out as per contract requirements
• Conducting first and second party audits, controlling non-conforming products, raising & resolving non-conformance reports and ensuring implementation of corrective/preventive actions
• Reviewing manufacturing procedures, identifying areas of quality failures & advising changes for quality improvements
• Controlling the complete sequential documentation of procured items for construction, pre-commissioning and commissioning till final handover
• Carrying out assessment of suppliers/vendors to ensure that the supplier has adequate manufacturing and testing facilities and quality control systems and procedures for the intended product
• Inspections during the Manufacturing of Rotating Equipment’s: Various Valves, Pumps, Compressors, Cranes, Control Valves, Mechanical seal support systems, Safety Relief Valves & Steam Traps, Gear Boxes, Flow Meters, Which includes Material Inspection, Witnessing of Pressure Tests, Functional Tests, NDE evaluations as applicable.
• Overseeing inspections during the construction of Atmospheric Storage Tanks which includes Material Inspection, Dimensional Inspection, Welding Inspection, NDE Evaluations (MPI, Vacuum box, oil chalk test), Witness of Hydro Test, Tank Calibrations, etc.
• Handling inspections during the construction of Pipelines per ASME B31.4 & ASME B31.8, which includes material inspection, reviewing project specifications, inspections as per ITP, Witness of WPS, PQR, WPQ, review of RT films,
Witnessing UT, MPI, Pipe Book Review, Gauging, Welding & Pulling of HDPE Liners, Witness of Hydro Tests, etc.
• Monitoring inspections during the construction of Process Piping such as Process piping fabrication, Welding inspection and related NDE evaluations, Review of RT films, witness of UT, MPI, heat treatments and hardness testing,
Test pack review, Issuance of Punch list, Witnessing of Hydro testing, as per ASME B 31.3.
• Performing stage wise manufacturing inspections of Well Heads as per API 6A which includes Material inspection, Hardness witness, pressure Test witness, NDE evaluations, Quality dossier review, etc.

KNOWLEDGE PURVIEW

• Spearheading overall welding activities as per various Codes and standards like ASME Sec. IX, ASME B 31.3, ASME B 31.1, AWS D 1.1/1.4/1.6 etc.
• Inspection of Static Equipment’s like Pressure Vessels, Process Columns & Heat Exchangers as per ASME Sec. VIII Div. I & II, ASME Sec.IX, ASME Sec.V, PD5500, TEMA STDs etc.
• Rotary Equipment Inspections:
o Valves (API 598, API6D), Pumps (IS 9137 Class C, ISO 1940 Gr.6), Compressors (FAT Procedure),
o Cranes, Control Valves, Mechanical Seal Support Systems (API Plans 53B), Safety Relief Valves (API527),
o Steam Traps, Gear Boxes, Flow Meters, etc.
o Atmospheric Storage Tanks Inspections as per API 650.
o Process Piping Inspections during the constructions of Process Piping as per ASME B 31.3
o Pipeline Inspections during the construction of Pipelines as per ASME B31.4, ASME B31.8
o Well Heads Inspections – Manufacturing Inspections of Well Heads as per API 6A
o Welding Inspections as per ASME Sec. IX, BSEN ISO 15614, ASME B 31.3, API 1104, and AWS D1.1 as applicable.
• Knowledge of various materials such as:
o Carbon Steels for General Applications, Carbon Steels for Low Temperature Applications
o Low Alloy Steels for High Temp. Applications, Stainless Steels, Clad Materials, Nickel Alloys
o Aluminium & Cu- Ni alloys etc.
o Exposure to various Welding Processes - SMAW, GTAW, FCAW, SAW, GMAW, etc.
